Babur Brasserie
119 Brockley Rise, Forest Hill,
London SE23
020 8291 2400
www.babur.info |
Since opening in 1985 Emdad Rahman and his chef
brother Enam have made this restaurant one of the most talked about
outside London for the quality and innovative style of its food.
People don't come here and ask for curry house dishes - instead they
enjoy Ros Tos Crab and Chicken Cafriel and other tasty offerings. The
restaurant only has 56 covers and is very popular so booking is
advised despite the unlikely location.
If you live within striking range watch out for the
regular festivals giving you the chance to try regional dishes. Very
friendly and a must visit. Recently completely re-furbished to a very
high standard and run by Amin Rahman.

fans with even better food and service. Duck, venison, hare, brains
all find a place on the menu as well as most popular dishes that
bring diners back time and again. With 94 covers the restaurant is
