Previously owned by T.S.Pabla who sadly passed away in
February 2001, Friends was opened in 1982 and has steadily grown in
stature to be one of the best in the country. The decor is quite
luxurious but the the food is the main attraction and you will see
many Asians dining here which is a good indication of standards.
Front of house is run by sons Bobby and Manjit Pabla and Manjit's
winelist is also very special and would grace any top class
restaurant. Bobby is also in charge of the kitchen and ensures the
food keeps bringing people back and it is undoubtedly the one of the
best in the area. Recently re-furbished to a high standard 'Best
in Britain Award 1993-1999' Sold
in 2008 to new owners with Manjit moving to Delhi & Booby
building a Japanese car! |
