Nahim Aslam opened his restaurant and lounge concept in 1993 with 110 covers and it has flourished as a centre for good food and entertainment ever since. The single storey, sprawling building has its own large car park and many people arrive early for an enjoyable meal and then move into the lounge for a drink or to enjoy the programme of entertainment. Recently re-furbished to a very high standard. It is the perfect blend for the local market and well managed by S. Rasool. Executive Chef, Sheikh Kamran has introduced an exciting new menu for 2008. 'Best in Britain Nomination 1999'. Best in Britain 2005 Best In Britain - 2006, 2007, BIBA Best in North 2007. British Curry Awards Best in North 2007.

Recently taken over by Mr Abdul Aziz and the new management has already built up quite a reputation for good food and service. Starters are very tasty and surprisingly reasonable at around £2.50 and there is an excellent selection of tandoori dishes including a rather interesting Drunken Duck. Chef's Specialities include Butter Chicken, Naga Chicken and one of our favourites, Methi Gosht. If someone is in your part who just cannot take spicy food you will be OK at the Bengal as they also have a small menu of English dishes to chose from. Try the South Indian Thali from £9.95. 87 covers.

The 130 seater restaurant has won the Best in Britain award for 2006 & 7. It has also won Curry Chef of the Year 2005 & 2006.The chefs, trained in 5 Star hotels and restaurants throughout Delhi, make great use of the wide variety of fresh produce available from India, including many herbs and spices unknown in this country to give you the complete Indian experience. The restaurant itself is in the historical Chadderton cottage, which has been sympathetically restored to reflect it’s former glory and to create a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere with attention to detail. Owned by Rais Bhatti and Amir Nazir.
Your visit will be welcomed with a smile and the grace normally associated with India by staff who pride themselves in providing exceptional service. You will then be invited to relax in the lounge and bask in the special ambience, which is further enhanced by the Grand Piano that is played so delightfully by the resident pianist.
