Ingredients :
Prawns 8-10 medium size prawns
Coconut Milk ¼ cup
Coconut Powder 2 tsp
Onion gravy ½ cup
Tomato gravy ½ cup
Mustard seed ½ tsp
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste
Haldi (turmeric) A pinch
Oil 1 ½ tsp
Red chilli powder 3 tsp
Curry leaves 4
Green chopped chili 50 gm
Fried red chilli whole 4 |
Method :
De-vein the prawns, and clean them thoroughly keep aside
In a pan, heat the oil and crackle the mustard seeds
until they turn black, fry whole red chillies, green chillies
Add the curry leaves, and coconut powder, haldi, red
chilli powder, and sauté for 1 minute on high heat
Add the onion gravy and cook for 1 minute
Add the tomato gravy and cook for one minute
Add the prawns and cook for a minute
Fold in the coconut milk and gently cook the curry for
a further minute
Taste, add the seasoning, and serve with Lemon rice
Keep a jug of water on the side as this is a fiery
prawn recipe! |
