Ingredients :
15 ml Oil
10 gms Ginger (chopped)
10 gms Garlic (chopped)
Half Onion (chopped)
1 Green chilli
Half tsp Turmeric powder
Half tsp Chilli powder
1 Tomato (chopped)
Salt to taste
Half sprig fressf coriander (chopped) |
Method :
Heat the oil, add the chopped ginger and garlic, saute
for a couple of minutes.
Add the chopped onions and green chillies and saute
further until the onions are translucent.
Add turmeric and chilli powder, stir well and cook for
a couple of minutes.
Now drop in the chopped tomatoes, stir well and leave
covered over a slow flame for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavours
to blend in with the juice of the tomatoes.
Remove the lid, stir well over medium heat to remove
excess moisture, add salt and chopped fresh coriander.
Transfer small quantities of the masala into a frying
pan and toss the mussels over a high heat for half a minute, allowing
the mussels to be coated sufficiently, transfer the mussels back into
the washed shells and serve garnished with a sprig of coriander and a
few drops of freshly squeezed lime. |
