Mumtaz Mahal
10 Essex Way,
Benfleet

01268 751707

Mumtaz Mahal is an excellent example of an Indian restaurant fitting in and growing with the local community. Opened in 1977 it is run by Abdul Rashid who is well known in the area. The kitchen team of four cater for up to 95 diners and the restaurant is easy to find with good frontage on to the main road and a large car park. The interior is on two floors and is well decorated with pleasant engraved glass partitioning. The waiters are smart and helpful adding to an excellent atmosphere. The extensive menu is the real attraction and there are even English dishes for the remaining few unadventurous. 'Best in Britain Nomination 1999'
